A Special Conversation with the DOJ's Claudia Quiroz and SDF's Candace Kelly

  • Arnold & Porter 3 Embarcadero Center San Francisco, CA, 94111 United States (map)

Join us for a timely and fascinating conversation with two leading women with a front row seat to the evolving crypto regulatory landscape and crypto innovations. This conversation will feature Claudia Quiroz, Director of the National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team at the U.S. Department of Justice. At the DOJ, Claudia directs the nation’s first enforcement team dedicated to investigating and prosecuting the criminal misuse of crypto and digital assets in collaboration with domestic and international agencies. Her team also works closely with industry members to ensure compliance in the digital assets ecosystem and focuses on asset recovery for victims of frauds, scams, and exploits involving digital assets.

The conversation also will feature Candace Kelly, Chief Legal and Policy Officer at the Stellar Development Foundation(SDF). SDF is an open source blockchain that connects the world's financial infrastructure and facilitates cross-border payment innovations. Candace works with global regulators and policymakers to increase private-public partnerships.

Claudia and Candace will discuss their respective careers and passions, the DOJ's and SDF's work in the crypto sector, and its fast-changing legal and regulatory landscape.

We are delighted that Meredith Osborn, partner at Arnold & Porter, will serve as a moderator for this special conversation. The program will be followed immediately by a networking reception.
