Lessons Learned from Cyber and Data Incidents

ALLRISE SF is delighted to partner with Women in Security and Privacy to host an in-person program on the ever-important topic of cyber attacks and data incidents. We will hear from seasoned experts, focusing on their experiences with navigating cyber and data incidents and their takeaways on mitigating the impact of a data breach and handling public and regulatory communications. Key highlights will include:

  • Incident Response Strategies: Lessons learned from activating response plans and how to prepare better for future incidents.

  • Regulatory and Legal Compliance: How to engage with regulators and what questions to ask in order to clarify and understand regulatory and legal risk ramifications during cyber incidents.

  • Financial Impact: The role of cyber risk insurance in recovering potential financial and data loss.

  • Swathi Joshi, VP and Deputy CISO of SaaS Cloud Security, Oracle; Swathi also advises investors, startups, and practitioners and is a frequent speaker at conferences.

  • John McCall, SVP, Newfront; John has extensive insurance underwriting and advisory experience in the financial services sector, including working with companies on cyber risk insurance coverage and negotiating with brokers.

  • Michelle Rogers, Partner, Cooley; Michelle is a leading legal counsel and litigator in financial services and has earned industry recognition as a Fellow of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers, Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers, and Legal 500.
